Scripps College in Claremont offers an excellent college-mentoring program. The program supports young women who are the first in their families to attend college. Through intensive mentoring, a summer on-campus program, and enrichment activities, SCA students become well-prepared college applicants. Applicants must be in 10th grade. Pomona College Academy for Youth Success (PAYS) is another amazing opportunity for excellent students to get ready for college. The program supports competitive students in preparation for and applications to highly competitive colleges and universities. Applicants must be in 9th grade and demonstrate dedication to academics through course selection and outstanding grades. The applications open November 9. 2018 and are due February 22, 2019.
